Presentation Night 2025/26 Season

Our presentation night was held at The Moonee Ponds Club (our generous sponsors). 45 people attended and a great night was had by all.

Award winners were:

Over 60s

Batting – Craig Hodgson 241 @ 60.2.  Third despite only playing 7 games was Robert Iskra Bowling – The Peter Macdonald Bowling Award: Mario Perera 12 @ 16.67.  Fourth was Matthew Pinkney with only 8 games, third Was Mocca and second was Simon Phelan with only 9 games

Ron Luckman MVP – Mocca Boyse 290 pts R/Up – Simon Phelan 229 pts. Simon only played 9 games

Mario (Super) Perera who won the bowling described his journey for the year from wondering what he was getting himself into at the first game to being selected at the end of the season to play in the World Cup for Sri Lanka. He also described being part of the club as giving him a new lease of life. That is what we are all about - making social connections while giving people a competitive environment to play cricket in where everyone gets a crack.

Over O70s

Bowling – Neil King 9 @ 15.89. Third was Arthur, second was Kenny, only separated from the winner by average.

Batting – Robbie McDonald 146 @ 29.2  Third was Arthur. Second was Gary Adams

Lloyd Haley MVP – Les Quarrell 276 pts (R/Up - Neil King 210 pts) 

This was the first year for the Lloyd Haley MVP which rightly recognises Lloyds contribution to the club as President for the first four years and treasurer for the last 13 years.
