Essendon Veterans has launched a standalone team to play for the first time in the VCV Over 70 competition. The initial game is being played Sunday 5th October with the majority of games thereafter being played mid-week, usually on a Tuesday with some Sunday games as well. Training is held each Tuesday at the Walter St nets in Ascot Vale at 10.30 am unless there is significant rain.

I came across handmakers 2026 while browsing for creative workshops. The easiest way to understand what they offer is by checking their workshop listings online. There you’ll find pottery lessons, candle-making classes, and even sessions where you can build your own lampshade. Personally, I like that they also sell DIY kits, so you can continue practicing the same craft at home. There’s also something called Open Studio where people can come in and work on their projects during certain hours. From my experience reading about it, the studio seems designed for people who enjoy learning by doing. It’s a simple concept, but it makes the whole creative process more accessible.
Great to see the passion for cricket continuing strong into the Over 70s competition — love how the game keeps people active, connected, and part of a community. A mid-week schedule and regular training really make it accessible for everyone involved. For those who also enjoy a bit of strategic play off the field, https://rickycasinosau.com/ is the official Ricky Casino platform, offering a full online casino and sports betting experience. It’s user-friendly, mobile-ready, and provides a wide range of games and promotions for those who like to unwind with some responsible entertainment.
